Description:

Sierra Trading Post and HomeSense are two of the latest retail chains owned and operated by The TJX Companies.  Sierra Trading is an online and brick and mortar retailer that offers products for outdoor recreation, fitness, and adventure gear.  HomeSense is a discount home furnishing store that offers more big ticket items than its sister store HomeGoods.  The two stores are adjacent to each other anchoring The Shoppes at Bedford Shopping center in Bedford NH.

Scope of work:

ACF Property Management selected Commonwealth to build out the two tenants with a turnkey lease delivery.  The former space was occupied by Bob’s Stores and covers 45,836 square feet of space that was demised for the two tenants.  The exterior renovations involved complete demolition of the existing storefront and façade, building new tower facades for both HomeSense and Sierra Trading Post.  In collaboration with the town planning board and The TJX companies the exterior design and finishes are a combination of the brand prototype design of each retailer and building standards of the shopping center.  The interiors were built to the prototype of each tenant that includes open deck ceiling design, luxury vinyl plank flooring, merchandising fixtures and displays, and stone veneer paneling.  We also removed and replaced the entire flat roof system for the two spaces.
