Extra Space Storage operates over 1800 self-storage facilities throughout the United States. The Quincy, MA location is located just off Burgan Parkway on Old Colony Ave.

Commonwealth Building was selected to build the 30,000 square foot 3 story ground up building with a full basement. The building is located on a very tight site adjacent to the MBTA Redline operation, which limited our lay-down capacity and required intricate scheduling and coordination to successfully complete this project. The steel frame structure included a glazed bridge spanning from the new structure to the existing facility on the other side of the property. Some of the other construction scope features include the underpinning of existing retaining wall of the MBTA, 5,000 pound capacity 4 stop hydraulic elevator, self-supporting site drainage system, masonry elevator and stairwell shafts, gas fired unit heaters and humidifying units, and glazing units for the building and the pedestrian bridge.
