Description:

Headquartered in Cambridge MA, GCP Applied Technologies is a leading global provider of a wide range of construction product technologies that include cement additives and concrete, Verifi in transit concrete management system, high performance waterproofing products, and specialty systems.  The Cambridge campus includes office space, laboratory, and R&D space.

Scope of work:

Commonwealth Building was selected to build out the new cafeteria space and to renovate several sections of office space within the Cambridge MA headquarters.

Providing seating for over 200 occupants, the new cafeteria spans over 9,000 square feet and includes a new kitchen, salad bar, service stations, coffee stations, and a take home lunch preparation room.  Some of the renovation features include modern millwork and furniture, contemporary lighting, 4’x4’ fine-line ceiling system, hanging trellis ceiling, technology hubs for presentations, new kitchen equipment, and textured wood wall and ceiling paneling.

The new office spaces were designed to enhance collaboration with its open concept design.  The renovations spanned over two floors and included technology upgrades, new lighting, textured wood and ceiling paneling, and all new high end finishes.
